I have always wanted to create something beautiful and unique. As the daughter of Australian fashion and jewellery designer, Lorraine St Clair, perhaps it’s in my genes.                                 

From an early age I followed this fashion whirlwind – sourcing fabrics, learning the fine art of design and selling my mother’s beautiful clothes and Jewellery to the most discerning of clientele.

When I was 19, my mother passed away after a long illness. Determined to honor her memory and continue her legacy, I founded my first company Angel House and travelled the world looking for the most beautiful buttons, trims and braids. Moving to London in 2005, with four children of my own, I decided the time was right to launch my own fashion brand – Madeleine St Clair.

I have always had a loved accessories, my vision is to create a collection of classic designs that will weather the tides of both fashion and time.

The jewellery collection is inspired by the 1920s and 30’s Art Deco Era. I have sought to design pieces that can provide exceptional value to the fashion savvy consumer who is dedicated to building her vintage jewelry collection with unique accessories. The Madeleine St Clair jewellery collection is designed to respect the details of period pieces while offering fresh design interpretations to fit today’s styles and fashions.

Her handbag collection has striking silhouettes that catches the eye, and exquisite attention to detail that draws you closer, the luxurious finish – a beautiful handbag can cast an almost hypnotic spell.

My vision is to create a collection of classic designs that will weather the tides of both fashion and time. A good handbag should never go out of fashion and the truly great ones are handed down from generation to generation. The handbags I create are timeless and will never date – just age gracefully. That is the heart of my philosophy.
